Storm damage & insurance
After a storm, you need clear facts — not pressure. Campbells Precision Roofing provides a free inspection, documents what we find, and works the claim with your adjuster alongside you. You stay in the conversation with your insurance company.
Compliant promise: We document storm damage and support the claim process with you and your adjuster. We do not waive deductibles. We do not “handle the claim so you don’t talk to insurance.”
Public storm reports
Enter your street address to see recent hail, wind, and severe weather reports near your location from multiple public sources (NWS / IEM local storm reports, SPC, and NWS alerts). Reports nearby are not proof that hail hit your house.
Address stays in your browser — we don’t store it on a server. Times shown in Eastern Time.
We’ll document roof condition and work with you and your adjuster. We do not waive deductibles or claim insurance approval.
Data from public feeds (Iowa Environmental Mesonet LSR, NOAA/NWS Storm Prediction Center reports, and api.weather.gov alerts). Empty results mean no matching public reports in range — not that “no storm happened.” Always verify with a professional inspection.
Common homeowners carriers we help with storm claims in the Denver / Lake Norman area (among others).
Don’t see yours? We still document and meet adjusters for most carriers.
We inspect the roof system (covering, flashing, vents, penetrations, and related components) and document findings with photos and notes suitable for an insurance conversation. You’ll get a clear explanation of what we saw — storm-related damage versus normal wear — in plain language.
When your insurer schedules an adjuster visit, we can meet on-site to walk the roof, review documentation, and discuss scope. You remain the policyholder; we support you with technical detail so the claim discussion is informed and accurate.
Storm damage often affects only part of a roof. Matching older shingles can be difficult when colors have aged or products have been discontinued. We’ll discuss repair versus partial or full replacement options honestly — including aesthetic match limitations — so you can decide with your adjuster what the policy and the home need.
North Carolina Residential Code section R908 addresses reroofing. In many cases, when a roof already has two layers of roof covering, a full tear-off is required before a new roof is installed. We’ll verify existing layers at inspection and explain how code applies to your specific home — not as legal advice, but as practical guidance from a licensed contractor (NC Residential license #101889).
Insurance typically addresses sudden storm damage. Bringing decks, ventilation, ice/water protection, or other details up to current code may be a separate conversation — sometimes covered as code-upgrade provisions, sometimes a homeowner choice. We separate storm scope from recommended upgrades so you and your adjuster can see what’s what.
